At a screening of the film in Chicago, the director, SS Rajamouli, revealed that his father is now writing the script for RRR 2.
The acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s Telugu historical epic RRR will get a sequel. The movie was so popular with viewers that it was also officially entered by India in all of the major Oscar categories. According to a tweet from renowned cinema critic, influencer, and business expert Taran Adarsh, the larger-than-life movie has made more than 1100 crore at the box office globally.
Rajamouli told Variety that his father writes the scripts for all of his films as he was speaking at the Chicago premiere of his flick. He briefly mentioned RRR 2 and stated that he is currently working on the story. No more information was given because it is still extremely early in the process.
