She said, “I’ll be very honest when I was doing a song with her, I was very nervous. I was nervous because she is such a popular face and I don’t have that kind of following. But when we started shooting, she made me so comfortable.”
Sonam went on to say that there was no competition between her and Shehnaaz on the set of Honsla Rakh, and that they both supported each other. “There was no competition because we were playing different characters. We were doing different things in the film. So, I never felt that way,” she said.
The actor also clarified that she felt secured about her part in the film and didn’t feel threatened by Shehnaaz’s presence. “I felt secured because I knew what I was doing. I had a great character to play, and I was really excited about it. So, I never felt threatened by anybody’s presence,” she added.
Honsla Rakh marked Shehnaaz Gill’s debut in Punjabi cinema, and the film was widely appreciated by audiences and critics alike. The movie revolved around the story of a young man who has to take care of his child after his wife and mother-in-law go missing.
