Mayur Dhanwani & Vinod Reddy are the founders of Focus Pixel, a video production, photography, and digital marketing company based in Pune, Maharashtra, that focuses on storytelling through video production for various occasions. Their services focus on three genres: Corporate events, Private events, and filmmaking. They aim to lend their support to all small and medium-sized institutes amid pandemic providing the solution of secured online live classes where they can conduct Live Classes on their mobile app with security.
Initially, Focus Pixel was started in the year 2008 to provide services for photography and videography when Mayur was in the eighth standard. Since childhood, he was always inclined to Computers and cameras, which drew his attention towards observing and learning new skills, and gradually this developed a passion around it. He was so attracted to it that he began visiting photo studios nearby for observation and learning about the work. And that’s when his journey began.
He acquired the first project as a professional photographer and videographer for his own school’s Annual day function, namely St. Sebastian High School, Daund Pune. Since then, he started getting various offers for the shot of private events like Birthday parties, Weddings, and so on. This way continued until 2012 when he bought a professional space to set his own office and his friend Namdev Rathod. They have set up their creative studio in his hometown in Daund, Pune. In 2013, he was bagged with a world-class project of shooting a documentary movie named Avishree under Dhiraj Kangal. To everyone’s grace, the film became successful with various screenings in short film festivals. It has also won various Awards under the category of Best Film, Best Editing in few local short film festivals. Everything was going well and good until one day in the year 2014 where due to a short circuit, his entire studio was set on fire, which led to the loss of his camera and editing set up.
It led to his vast financial loss, so to cover up the financial crisis, he started working as a Graphic Designer in Expert Professional Academy, Pune. Additionally, he started taking freelance projects on Graphic design. Thereon he began working as a Still Photographer, Cinematographer, and Editor for many short films and Music Videos. Few were telecasted on State Level Regional Marathi channels like Saam TV (Helping Hands-Directed by Mahesh Kumar Sartape) and few Music Videos on Marathi Music Channels like 9x Jakkas, Zee Vajwa, Sangeet Marathi, and so on. The most prime project was a Music Video Prem Baware (Directed by Rohan Shingade), where he worked as a cinematographer who is still active on the Zee5 app.
A huge turning point came in his life in 2018 where one day, he received a call from CA Vinod Reddy, Director at Expert Professional Academy, Pune, who was mesmerized with his work and offered him to work as a partner. Gradually he restarted his firm Focus Pixel in Pune. They began taking projects on the Educational sector where they started recorded Lectures with prominent faculties in CA, CS, MPSC & Judiciary. He has a vast clientele, namely CA Vinod Reddy, CA Susheel Bhandari, CA Prashant Sarda, CA Rachana Ranade (Renowned on YouTube for stock trading Videos), Adv Ganesh Shirsat, and many more. Besides, he has also worked on a project for Pune Wireless cell on E-Digital Classroom Setup. The project was one of the four projects all over the state selected to be displayed in the All India Police Technology Exhibition inaugurated by Honorable Prime Miniter Narendra Modi.
27-year-old Mayur’s life journey was not easy, but one thing that kept him going was his consistency and hard work. Setbacks are a part of life, but the one who gets up and faces the world are the true winners, and Mayur’s story has proved it.
