Sarah was recently awarded the prestigious The Pride of India award by Cherry Book Awards, in association with Digital Golgappa. Read below to find out her inspiring story and why she was chosen for this coveted title.
Who is Sarah?
Sarah is a poetess and that is her superpower. For she has the ability to help heal wounds with the words she writes.
We all need to feel loved and appreciated, and in these testing times when we’re all locked up in our own homes, the best way to spread cheer and joy is through the words we write and offer to the world.
Besides being a poetess, Sarah is also the Founder & Content Creator of a writing community on Instagram called @vaguesoulsunite. It gives her immense pleasure to read and feature poets from across the globe. This little gesture gives them the assurance that their ‘voice’ is being heard by others too.
She has also worked as a co-author in more than 10 anthologies. Recently her short story won the title of ‘Best Entry’ and she won the title of ‘Best Storyteller’ in the Literature Festival organized by @magazineunicorn
Why does Sarah deserve The Pride of India Award?
Sarah’s contribution to the writing community on Instagram and her willingness to help as many writers and poets as she can, made her a solid candidate for this award.
She may be doing something very small, but she firmly believes that each small step taken in the right direction always leads us to the most beautiful destinations. One day, she will be known all across the world – as the poetess who didn’t give up on others.
And as she is an Indian, all the efforts she makes reflect on the morals and values instilled in her by our society, by our country, which made her the perfect fit for this award. “As an Indian, it is my duty and my responsibility to spread love and joy,” she says
