Diksha Nagdev is an English Tutor, a hobby poet and a baker. She works at English with Neel Vora, and has recently released her own book, a collection of poetries. She owns a small business too.
Diksha’s experience as an English Trainer has taught her to have patience and kindness towards the students. I am currently teaching 30+ students of different age groups.
Speaking of her journey as a poet/writer, she has spent 2 years in the writing industry. She participated in Youth India Poetry competitions and in various anthologies. Recently, Diksha Nagdev released a poetry collection with the help of BookLeaf Publishing titled “The Dark, The Light & Everything In Between”.
She also owns a small baking business known as Chocoloco which has sold more than 300 chocolates and 70 cakes in two years.
Why does Diksha Nagdev deserve The Pride of India Award?
Diksha faced a lot of difficulties when she was trying to fulfill her dreams. In her own words, “I had almost zero support from my family and friends. I was told that writing should only be kept as a hobby and nothing permanent could be achieved from it.”
She deserved to win in order to show the world the essence of writing and to encourage all the women authors out there who go through the same phase she has gone through.
Most importantly, she believed in herself and in her dreams, and finally got what was meant to be hers. That is something she is and should always be proud of.
