The Telangana Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists Association (TASLPA), the most happening ASLP Association of India conducted its Annual National Conference 5th TASLPACON – 2024 very grandly from 20th to 21st July 2024 in Osmania Medical College Auditorium, Koti, Hyderabad. This mega National conference got Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) CRE Approval.
Nearly 300 Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists Doctors and Junior Doctors across the country attended the conference to update their knowledge through Scientific sessions & Panel Discussions by Eminent and renowned personalities in the field of ENT, Audiology and Speech Language Pathology.
This Conference is supported by WHO, UACA, Govt.ENT Hospital, Helen Keller’s Institute, Sweekaar Academy of Rehabilitation Sciences, Maa Institute of Speech & Hearing (MISH).
Hon’ble Principal of Osmania Medical College Dr.A.Narendra Kumar was attended as Chief Guest and inaugurated the conference and told that Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists plays a key role in diagnosis and treatment of Hearing loss and Speech & Swallowing problems from new born babies to senior citizens. On request of TASLPA President Dr.Nagender Kankipati, he promised that he will take all the necessary action from the Government of Telangana to take RCI approval for on-going B.Sc Audiology and Speech Therapy Technology course offered by Kaloji Narayana Rao Univerity of Health Sciences (KNRUHS). He also assured to take necessary steps to fill all the vacant posts of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists in all the Government Medical Colleges and Hospitals. He Presented Ln.Patan Ummar Khan Oration Award and Dr.P.Hanumantha Rao Oration Award to Dr.Gurram Purushotham, Senior Audiologist, Hyderabad and Dr.Premnath Balla, Senior Audiologist and Neuro Rehabilitation Specialist, Hyderabad. 5th TASLPACON 2024 Conference Souvenir also released from his hands. He congratulated the organizers for conducting wonderful Conference and promised that from OMC & Govt of Telangana he will extend his full support and cooperation to all the future activities of TASLPA.

Helen Keller’s Institute Founder & Chairman Ln.Patan Ummar Khan attended as another Guest of Honour and congratulated the organizers for presenting an oration award on his name and appreciated the activities of TASLPA and its year after year growth.

TASLPA President, 5th TASLPACON Organizing Chairman Dr.Nagender Kankipati, Organizing Secretary Dr.Imad Khan Ruman, Chair Scientific Committee Prof.Dr.RKP, Treasurer Dr.Arif Shaik told that TASLPA is the Most Happening ASLP Association of India, with 800 members from all over the India and World. They also told that TASLPA got grant from WHO in recognition of their services. They congratulated and expressed sincere thanks to OMC Principal and Dr.T.Shankar Superintendent of Govt ENT Hospital for providing the Auditorium. They also expressed sincere thanks to Hon’ble Health Minister Shri.C.Damodara Raja Narasimha, MLA Dr.Palvai Harish Babu, MP Raghunandan Rao for sending their best wishes. They urged the government to support their association in creating widespread awareness about hearing loss and speech-language problems. Senior ENT Surgeon Dr.Janardhan Rao Jagini and Senior Surgical Audiologists Dr.B.Shiva Prasad conducted convocation and presented certificates to nearly 30 professionals who successfully completed their KIMS-TASLPA cochlear implantation fellowship program.
Finally the conference successfully concluded by the Organizing Committee by Felicitating Resource Persons, Winners of Best Papers, Best Posters and all the Sponsors and all the Supporters with Mementos, Shawls and Certificates.
