On November 1, the grand unveiling of Jio World Plaza marked a significant milestone for Mumbai, introducing a sprawling complex that now hosts a remarkable collection of 66 luxury brands for the public to explore
Reliance Industries Limited has embarked on a mission to elevate India’s luxury shopping and entertainment scene with the inauguration of Jio World Plaza (JWP), an extraordinary retail hub nestled at the vibrant core of Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). As of November 1, the public is invited to step into this expansive complex, thoughtfully designed to harmonize with the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, the Jio World Convention Centre, and the Jio World Garden, culminating in a comprehensive haven for all who visit.
On the evening of October 31, the Jio World Plaza had its illustrious inauguration, graced by luminaries from the realms of cinema, fashion, and commerce. The event was nothing short of a spectacle, featuring a mesmerizing showcase by some of the most celebrated designers.
Isha Ambani, as the Director of Reliance Industries Limited, offered a glimpse into the profound vision that propels this ambitious enterprise forward.
“Our envisioning of the Jio World Plaza is aimed at bringing the best global brands to India as well as highlighting the prowess and craftsmanship of top Indian brands,” she said.
The Jio World Plaza proudly showcases an exquisite collection of 66 luxury brands, including prestigious international names making their debut in the Indian market, such as Balenciaga, Giorgio Armani Café, Pottery Barn Kids, Samsung Experience Centre, EL&N Café, and Rimowa.
Adding to the excitement, Mumbai will embrace its first outlets of renowned brands like Valentino, Tory Burch, YSL, Versace, Tiffany, Ladurée, and Pottery Barn, complemented by flagship stores of iconic fashion houses including Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Cartier, Bally, Giorgio Armani, Dior, and Bulgari.
At Jio World Plaza, celebrated designers such as Manish Malhotra, Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla, Rahul Mishra, Falguni and Shane Peacock, and Ri By Ritu Kumar will find a vibrant platform to express their creative brilliance and captivate discerning fashion enthusiasts.
The architectural marvel of the Plaza draws inspiration from nature, particularly the lotus flower, and this breathtaking design comes to fruition through a partnership with the esteemed international architecture and design firm, TVS, which is headquartered in the United States.
“The Jio World Plaza is more than a retail destination, it’s an embodiment of aesthetics, culture, and leisure,” said Isha Ambani.
